Garden City Summertimes 2008
I am extremely proud to introduce this year's Garden City SummerTimes events programme which is definitely the best ever for our residents and the thousands of visitors who flock to the city over the summer months.
This year, Garden City SummerTimes features several key events, such as the annual ASB Classical Sparks, the Bon Jovi concert, the World Buskers Festival, and the Festival of Flowers, as well as a significant number of community events aimed at bringing local communities together to celebrate Summer in the suburbs.
Garden City SummerTimes also celebrates Christchurch's diversity, encouraging people to learn more about their neighbours at events such as the Chinese Lantern Festival and the Pacific Islands Arts Festival.
So whether your tastes run to art, culture, music, picnics in the park or fun at the beach, make the most of your City this Summer. I certainly intend to do so!
