- ASB Classical Sparks will welcome in Waitangi Day with an
open air concert to enthral the whole family. Once again
the sensational Christchurch Symphony, under the baton
of Mr Kenneth Young, will deliver a scintillating.

music, from jazz bands to indie pop, mellow acoustic grooves,
country,new folk and waiata, performing eight summer Sunday
afternoons on the grassy Central Lawn of our famed Botanic Gardens.

- The Garden City is lucky enough to boast some of the finest brass
and pipe bands in the land. While most of the Sunday Bandstand
performances showcase the talents and flair of individual bands,
if you get to the contest at English Park on 24 Feb you'll experience
a stunning array of pipe bands from all over the South Island!
